The iO Chicago Theater's 3rd Annual Musical Improv Festival opens next week and runs Aug. 17 through Aug. 20.
The festival will feature 40 groups with performers from Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, Boca Raton, Miami, Philadelphia, Ferndale and Kansas City. Topping the list of performers is half of the world famous comedy duo The Smothers Brothers, Dickie Smothers. Smothers will join the cast of The Musical Armando on Friday, August 18th at 8 p.m. as the guest monologuist. He will also appear during a special Q&A the next day, August 19th, at 7 p.m.
The festival will close with an 8 p.m. performance of the new show “Fraudway” in the Mission Theater.
